Buying land

To own land on our estate you must take the following steps.

    1. You need to pay the tier-box to add rent time to your account.

    Every parcel has it's own rent-box, that is located just outside the parcel-border. By paying L$ into the object you start renting and time is automatically calculated. You can use the presets buttons to add time by week, or add any amount to add the time you would like to rent. For every four weeks rent time added in one payment you will receive one free day worth of rent time.

    Although it is not mandatory, you can become a group member for free of charge. By touching the rent-box, it brings up a menu. From the menu you can select group invite. Our bot will invite you to join our group. By being a group member you can easy get in touch with us, in case you need support.



    2. You need to buy the land on the simulator to gain ownership over the parcel

    If you need to buy the land your can
    ) rightclick anywhere on the land and select but this land
    )or stand on the land and open the about land menu and select buy this land in the general tab. Buying land on our estate does NOT change your Secondlife membership plan and does not add extra costs to your Secondlife account.

    To buy land, the land need to be set out for sale. If for any reason the land is available but not out for sale, contact support, and it will be taken care for as soon as possible

All land sales and payments made to the rent-box are final.

Using the About land menu

Name: Write the name that your parcel will have, this name will be shown in the viewer top bar when you are standing on the parcel, this name will also be used when your land is listed in search.

Parcel ID: This is an unique ID what can be used for several functions.

Description: Fill in the description for more detailed information about your place.

Type: The type of simulator is mentioned.

Rating: In Secondlife we have different SIM ratings , according to the community standards also called Maturity ratings, read more about them.

Group: You can set land to a group, and give for example only members of a certain group access to your land. Or you can deed land to a group, and let a group own the land. for more detailed information about deeding land to a group visit the wiki

Sell Land: With this button you can sell your land to an other resident, or you can buy back the land in case you have deeded your land into a group.

Abandon Land: In case you would like to remove the land from your holding, press this button WARNING: once you have Abandoned your land, you can not reclaim it without contacting Swan hotel support.

Script info: With the script info button, you can request detailed information about all scripted objects located inside your parcel.

Buy Pass: This button is used for selling entry-passes to your audience.

Q: Can i use my parcel commercially?
A: Yes

Q:Can I use my parcel residential?
A:Yes

Q:Can I use my parcel for clubs/bars and sort of recreational use?
A:Yes

Q:Can I place a skybox or other structures in the sky?
A: Yes, above 500 meter high

Q:Do I need a premium Second Life membership to own land on this estate?
A:No, you don't need a premium Second Life membership to own land on this estate.

Q:If I buy land on this estate does it change my Second Life membership and raises my costs?
A:No, The land is sold by the estate, and does not change your Second Life membership plan and you don't pay Linden Lab for the land you hold on this estate. Tier for the land on this estate is paid through tier boxes located next to the parcels.

Q:How can I buy land on this estate?
A:Select buy land on the land of your choice, agree with this covenant and buy the land.

Q:Can i have Pets and breedables on this sim?
A:Pets are allowed, though there is a difference between having a pet and a place to breed animals or have a large kennel/farm. Large amount of breedables, pets/horses etc are NOT allowed on this sim.

Q:Why are pets/breedables under such a limitation?
A:They use a lot of the sim calculating power what gives lag.

2. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Little elf estates operates in Secondlife, the Secondlife ToS applies to all lands on the estate.

By renting, purchasing or visiting any land within this Estate you agree to the following terms.

I. Be respectful.
Any kind of action with the intention of negatively affecting other people will not be tolerated.

II. Keep your place presentable.

III. No crossing the lines.
Objects crossing over in to neighboring parcels without the owners consent may be returned or deleted at any time.

IV. Eviction
If the Estate owner or -managers feel that land is being used in a way not acceptable, they may evict the tenant and / or reclaim the land.
Whether refunds or compensation of any sort are deemed appropriate is at the discretion of the estate owner.

V. Loss of objects.
The estate owner is in no way responsible for any loss of objects occurring on the estate.

VI. Sim Restarts.
The sim will perform a restart on set times, during the restart the region is temporary unavailable. This is a maintenance measure and downtime is not compensated.

VI. I Restart requests.
Land owners on this estate may request a sim restart when they encounter serious issues on the region that will be solved by a restart. Patrons can ask the land owner to send out a restart request. Sim restarts will be performed by the estate owner or the estate manager. Do note that a sim restart have a serious impact on all people that are on the sim, since it mean region downtime, Therefore the decision to perform or decline the requested restart is taken by the estate owner or estate manager.

VII. Sim rollback.
Non applicable.

VIII. I Buying land.
Buying land on Little Elf Estate don't change your Secondlife membership nor does it change your current account price plan. The price of the land is set up to cover 24 hour overdue period.

VIII. II Tier payment.
Tier is paid via the "tier box" , "rent box" in front of your land. There is a 24 hour overdue period. If the box is not paid in 24 hour overdue. Its assumable you don't longer want to hold the land. The land will be reclaimed by the estate owner or estate manager and items will be returned.

IX. Bot Policy.
Bots are NOT allowed on this sim, every avatar on this sim is considered to be a "real player", bots found, will be send off the sim and land or home CAN be reclaimed without right on compensation.

Region object bonus factor: Prim Bonus level compared to 1.0 ratio.

Region capacity: Amount of prims(LI) used and the max available prims(LI) *note. When you own multiple parcels on one simulator, the total prims(LI) counted from all land you won on one simulator will be shown in this overview. You may use your prims everywhere on the same sim. There is a difference between land you own and land your group is owning those are counted seperat from the other.

Parcel land capacity: Capacity of prims that comes with the land. When you own more then one parcel on a sim, you can build more then the maximum land capacity, and create high density builds.

Parcel land impact: Shows how many prims(LI) you are currently using. When you own more then one parcel on a sim, you can build more then the maximum land capacity, and create high density builds.

Owned by parcel owner: Amount of prims belonging to the parcel owner. By using the buttons you can reveal the items (Highlight them), or return them on at once

Set to group: Amount of prims belonging to the group that is set on the general tab. By using the buttons you can reveal the items (Highlight them), or return them on at once

Owned by others: Amount of prims belonging to others. By using the buttons you can reveal the items (Highlight them), or return them on at once

Auto return other residents objects: Set a timer to send back items placed on your land by residents other then you.

Object owners: By touching the refresh button you can reveal who has rezzed how many items and on what date, by selecting the residents name in the list and then press the Return objects button, every item owned by that resident will be returned into their inventory.

Edit terrain: When checked, everyone can terraform your land

Fly: When checked everyone is allowed to fly on your land.

Build: Allow everyone, the group or only yourself to build objects on the land.

Object entry: Allow everyone, the group or only yourself *Object Entry refers to objects not attached to an avatar, such as a bullet fired from a gun

Run scripts: Allow everyone, the group or only yourself to run scripts.

Safe: No damage zone

Show place in search: Get listed on the secondlife search index

No pushing: Avatars can not push and can not be pushed

Avatars on other parcels can see and chat with avatars on this parcel: People can always start an IM if they can or can not see you. but this option creates a border around your parcel where you can not be seen from anyone standing outside the same parcel and can not read public send chats when not in the same parcel.

Snapshot: Load your image in this field to display your land, the image is also shown in search listings

Landing point: Set the landing point for teleports

Teleport routing: Blocked, Landing point or anywhere

You can set a sound stream, That will be played when you press the play music button in the viewer. You an also activate or deactivate voice chat in this menu.

Anyone can visit: When checked, everyone can visit your land, unchecking this box creates ban lines for those who are not listen in the always allowed list.

Must be 18+: When checked everyone who has an over 18+ account can enter your land.

Must have payment info on file: When checked everyone who has payment info stored on file can enter your land.

Allow group with no restrictions: When checked, everyone who is a group member of the specified group can access your land with no restrictions.

Sell passes: You can sell passes to provide access to your land and you can make them time based.

Allow and block: Edit the lists to allow of block resident access to your land.

Always allow or block a set of experiences.

  • Manage up to 24 Allowed Experiences on your parcel.
  • Allowed Experiences have permission to run on this parcel if they are not blocked by the Estate and Only Land-scope Experiences are Allowed.
  • Add new Allowed Experiences to the list by clicking the Add button and selecting it from the Choose Experience window.
  • Remove Experiences from this list by selecting the Experience and clicking the Remove button.
  • View an Experience's profile by selecting it and clicking the Profile button.

Terraforming land

Terraforming, is or can be an important part of making your land unique and fit in with your theme and objects. Though for the unexperienced user terraforming can be a time consuming and difficult task to perform. To help you getting started with terraforming your land you can consult this topic.
When you right click on your land and select Edit Terrain from the menu, the viewer goes into land edit mode. With these controls you can start terraforming your land, we would advise you to start out with a small size and small strength settings.

I will also provide you with a link to the Secondlife marketplace where you can buy a Terraform Brush for free. This useful tool can assist you on getting familiar with terraforming.

Subdivide land

Subdividing your parcel, gives you the option to have different settings on land you own.
When you right click on your land and select Edit Terrain from the menu, the viewer goes into land edit mode. by selecting land with your cursor and then pressing the Subdivide button, subdivides your land into multiple parcel.
By selecting two parcels with your cursor and then pressing the join button, combines multiple parcels into one parcel.

Placing objects on your land

When you right click on your land and select Create from the menu, the viewer goes into edit mode. and by clicking anywhere on your land you can create a cube. By drag and drop items from your inventory you can place objects on your land. This cover only the basics, you might need to take courses and have lots of practice to full understand everything about placing objects.
